“Our names came up in lights!” – Sarah & Kyle Gray
Mr & Mrs was indeed what Peaks & Dales Weddings, a Derbyshire based group of independent wedding professionals offered & delivered to the lucky Mr & Mrs – Win a wedding winners, Sarah & Kyle Gray, of the beautiful spa town of Buxton, Derbyshire. The magical, beauty & the beast styled wedding was reported to be a whopping £14,000. The wedding exclusively took centre stage on 14th May 2015, at the sort after & picturesque venue of Heaton house farm, Cheshire. The delighted bride & groom have since been central to photo- shoots, radio interviews & on the arisen – glossy magazine’s & more.
“Kyle and I have been together 7 years” Sarah explains. “The only reason we didn’t marry years ago is due to our financial situation. Money has always been very sparse, as we’ve run a household on two modest jobs. When we entered the win a wedding competition I knew deep down I shouldn’t pin all my hopes on the possibility of winning, & in turn being able to marry the love of my life.”
It was upon arrival to The Peaks & Dales vibrant valentines/February 2015 wedding exhibition, located in the grand Devonshire Dome, where the excitable couple signed in. They were then invited to participate in an informal interview, with the friendly judges, enabling the couple to be two of the win a wedding contestants.
Following this was an entertaining & pleasurable Mr & Mrs style competition. This involved participating couples to match & answer endearing & fun questions regarding their partner. “ We were quietly confident at this point,” says Sarah. Myself and Kyle know one another so well. As well as being my partner, Kyle is my best friend – No one knows me better than Kyle does. 15 questions later, it was said that there was a clear winner.. My heart was pounding and my head spinning..” A short time later that day, Sarah & Kyle’s names were spectacularly announced in lights as the win a wedding winners!
“I was going to be on crutches for my wedding .”
The build up to the wedding was indeed an exciting & positive experience for the happy couple, albeit a little overwhelming.. there are not many brides which do indeed walk down the aisle with the aid of crutches – delicately decorated & adorned with flowers – In turn, ‘charismatic conqueress crutches!’ This was to be the way for, then, soon to be Mrs Gray. Nevertheless, Sarah Gray bravely refused to be disheartened or defeated!
“As the wedding day drew closer, there wasn’t much more to be arranged other than the finer details. Then, one morning, three weeks before the wedding I was walking my Labrador Fox amongst the open countryside, close to Grinlow Tower, otherwise known as Solomon’s Temple. Another dog ran over to me & ran straight into my knee. The next thing I knew the mountain rescue team were on their way. I was quickly informed that my knee was broken. I was going to be on crutches for my wedding day & I was devastated. However, I soon came to the realisation of, what was just around the corner, & how lucky myself & Kyle were to win the wedding!” says Sarah.
“ I pinned all my hopes on winning & finally being able to marry the love of my life – I was on cloud 9.”

I walked down the aisle to Tale as Old As Time. Our dreams came true & it was the best start to married life we could have imagined!
