1940′s Themed Wedding for Pari and Christopher Seeley at Ringwood Hall, Chesterfield
Pari and Chris went along to see Whesthill with a vision of a 1940’s themed wedding. It was to include a 1940’s singer, car and dress code.
Naturally, Pari and Chris wanted the invitations to match. Pari had the inspirational idea of using ration books as wedding invitations complete with food coupons and extra information including accommodation, a map and a useful list of clothing websites – ensuring that everyone adhered to the theme of the wedding!
The couple didn’t want the invitations to be sent in envelopes, so they handed them out personally to all their guests.
For the table stationery, Chris had a good knowledge of fighter jets and asked if Whesthill could print pictures of these for each of the tables as a eye-catching centrpiece. Each image included an edging that matched the wedding invitations.
To compliment the theme Pari and Chris had National identity cards for the place markers with the names of the guests on the centre. They even had afternoon tea instead of a full three course wedding breakfast as this is what a wedding would entail in the 1940’s
The Wedding was set in the grounds of Ringwood Hall, a beautiful Georgian grade 11 listed Manor House hotel close to the historic market town of Chesterfield.
